Weather Watching Exhibition Reception

Event Date: March 9, 2018 at 7pm. Free admission.
Engage with the timely exhibition, Weather Watching: Ocean Prayers and Provocations through a memorable evening of poetry reading by Ted Blogett and Surrey’s Poet Laureate, Renée Sarojini Saklikar, and a live performance by artist Dr. Celeste Snowber, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University.

Hatha Yoga in the Museum Gallery
Event dates: Monday evenings at 7:00pm, Feb. 19, Feb 26, March 5, and March 12.
Join us in the gallery for a very special hatha yoga series for all levels, by Bronte Lisle. Bronte is taking advantage of the contemplative and embodied atmosphere in the gallery during our exhibition, “Weather Watching: Ocean Prayers and Provocations“. She hopes you will extend the exhibition’s layers of meaning, and deepen your practice of hatha yoga.

We ask that you come 15 minutes before class begins, for 6:45pm.
Registration is free, and participation is by donation upon arrival. Bronte accepts cash, debit or credit on site.
Canada Day Celebration
Event Date: July 1, 2018
Join us for the Canada Day festivities happening all along the beach from east to west. The museum features face painting and root beer floats by donation.
Annual Book Sale
Event Date: October 13 to 28, 2018
Join us for our annual book sale, a favourite tradition each fall. Come browse our lightly used books, and take advantage of our sitting area.
