Our Artifact Collection

What do we have in the collection?

The White Rock Museum and Archives is home to more than 7,000 artifacts collected by the community since 1978. We steward and maintain the collection on behalf of the City of White Rock.

We have artifacts relating to early settler history, a small natural history collection, fine art, and much more.

Donating artifacts to the Museum

Our dynamic museum collections team is looking to acquire artifacts from White Rock’s past, and unique objects from the present to share with the communities of the future. The museum is committed to professional standards of documentation, preservation, research, exhibition and interpretation of its collections.

We are specifically interested in material artifacts that have significance to individuals, families, or a wider community in the White Rock and South Surrey area.

Our storage isn’t infinite, so we take the time to carefully consider what we take in to the collection. Do you have something you’d like us to take a look at? Please snap some photos, write down the story of the object, and email our Curator at curator@whiterockmuseum.ca.
