Disappearing White Rock
Disappearing White Rock brings together a group of local artists and members of the community who own and live in some of White Rock’s oldest buildings. White Rock’s mid-century and older “cottage houses” have largely disappeared as the march of time leads to their replacement. This project brings together a diverse group of local artists to capture those that remain to celebrate their charm and humble persistence in our community.
Disappearing White Rock is sponsored by the Plein Air Art Society and was originally curated by Greg Smith for an weekend showing at his residence in the summer of 2021.
Our deepest thanks go to the artists involved in this project, who have been very generous with their time and artistic talents, and to the residents of the homes that have been included in the project to date.
